The Phoenix Academy is a successful, mixed, day special academy for secondary aged pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.
We have Specialist School Status in our area of expertise and work in partnership with schools, colleges and the wider community.
Our aim is to work with parents to help each and every pupil to develop into happy, independent, well educated and socially confident young adults. In order to take up their place in society and build successful relationships, young people need to develop a respect for themselves and for others.
They also need to acquire skills and knowledge if they are to be capable of exercising rational choice in a democratic society. For that reason all pupils are expected to work, to make academic progress and to achieve their full potential during their time at The Phoenix Academy.
All of our pupils gain a wealth of opportunities and experiences through our residential programmes that enable them to mature as individuals, able to make positive relationships with their peers and staff.
We would welcome all parents/carers comments on the work of the Academy, please see link to Parent View website.
