On Tuesday 6th December 2016 The Phoenix Academy went to Drayton Manor curtesy of Kids Day out, a charity run by the Rotatory Club for special needs and disadvantaged children.
The pupils overall a very good day, in spite of most of the larger rides being shut. The pupils were afforded the opportunity to develop those important social skills within their interactions with other members of the public and staff.
We had a visit from Santa and were given a free gift of a toy elf, a chocolate coin and a free ticket to revisit Drayton Manor. There was a magical 4D showing of The Polar Express, live performances of Christmas songs and plenty of fun to be had by all. All of our pupils behaved impeccably and it was a pleasure to share this experience with them.
