Ambassadors and Peer Mentoring

The Phoenix academy trust promotes a team of pupil ambassadors. These ambassadors are appointed to represent the school & are identified & selected from the pupil premium programme.

The role of the ambassadors can involve meeting & greeting visitors, helping in the community volunteering at the local residential homes at coffee mornings & fairs & fundraising for local charities by bag packing at supermarkets & a regular contact with the Phoenix children’s trust charity.

We also have a peer-mentoring programme where we arrange for key stage 4 pupils & the younger key stage 3 pupils to get together throughout the school week. This can be anything from a hot chocolate, reading extraction or going off site to places within the local & wider community who we have built up relationships with.

We find that having the pupils involved from the pupil premium programme enhances their social & academic achievements.
